Våra goda vänner M&M är på besök över påsken. Vi lovade att hämta dem på flygplatsen och samtidigt tänkte vi fylla på förrådet av sill och knäckebröd på IKEA. Innan vi hämtade upp dem. För hur kul är det att komma till Sicilien och börja med att åka till IKEA? 

Men omvärlden ville annorlunda. På den enda vägen ut från Licata till motorvägen blev det tvärstopp. Ingenting hände på ca 30 min. Sedan kom några bilar från motsatt håll och strax efteråt kunde vi köra några hundra meter. Stopp igen ungefär lika länge. Så fick vi äntligen köra. Men bara personbilar. Efter ett tag kom vi fram till orsaken. Två lastbilar hade i princip frontalkrockat med varandra. Jag satt beredd med kameran, men kunde inte ta något foto. Det såg för läskigt ut, visste inte heller om det satt någon i den demolerade förarhytten. 

Vi lyckades komma fram till flygplatsen ca 5 min innan våra vänners plan landade. Rusar iväg mot ankomsthallen. Men så blev det stopp! Endast personer med antingen arbetstillstånd eller boarding pass kom in i byggnaden. Med största sannolikhet en konsekvens av Bryssel. 

Träffar en trevlig svensk kille utanför dörren och han får lite tips på vad man inte ska missa när man kör runt på ön. Hoppas att han o flickvännen får en härlig semester.

Båra vänner kommer och vi åker till IKEA och sedan hem. Tyvärr gjorde dagens väder, kraftig vind och ösregn, att det inte blev så många fler aktiviteter. Men för min del, tyckte jag att det var trevligt att bara sitta o prata. Vi har ju inte setts på ett tag

IN ENGLISH

Our good friends M & M is on a visit over Easter. We promised to pick them up at the airport and while we thought we replenish the stock of herring and crisp bread at IKEA. Before we picked them up. ‘Cause how fun it is to get to Sicily and begin to go to IKEA?

But the outside world wanted different. On the only way out from Licata to the highway ot became a halt. Nothing happened in about 30 minutes. Then came a few cars from the opposite direction and shortly afterwards we could run a few hundred meters. Stop again about as long. So we finally got to run. But only passenger cars. After a while we came to the cause. Two trucks had virtually head-on collision with each other. I was ready with the camera, but could not take any photo. It looked really awful, did not notice if there was someone left in the demolished cab.

We managed to arrive at the airport about 5 minutes before our friends’ plane landed. Rushing off to the arrival hall. But that did stop! Only people with either a work permit or boarding pass came into the building. Most likely a consequence of Brussels.

Met a nice Swedish guy outside the arrival hall and he wanted some tips on what not to miss while driving around the island. Hope he and his girlfriend gets a great holiday.

Our friends arrived and we went to IKEA and then home. Unfortunately, the today’s weather wasn’t very pleasant, strong winds and heavy rain, there were not so many more activities thst could take part. But for my point of viue, I thought it was nice to just sit o talk. We have not seen each other  for a while.
