Det är fantastiskt att man kan spendera en hel dag utan att göra någonting. Om man undantar, sova, segla, laga och äta mat. Idag är en sådan dag. Ja vi behöver slå emellanåt men annars fördriver vi bara tiden.

Vi gick för motor fram till kl 2000 igår kväll då vi fick lite mer vind så det var lönt att segla. Vinden vred samtidigt så nu har vi den mer eller mindre rakt i nosen. Vilket då innebär att vi får kryssa oss fram. Varje slag är relativt långt 2-5 timmar beroende på ström och avdrift.
Vi ligger fortfarande relativt nära ett högtrycks centrum vilket gjort att vi fått nytt rekord i lufttryck 1035!. Vindarna har varit relativt svaga mellan 6-8 m/s men Vi förflyttar oss trots det i 6-7 knop. Vinden kommer att vrida mot norr, vilket gör att vi om någon dag får en halvvind resterande segling till Algarve kusten.

IN ENGLISH

It is amazing how easy it is to spend a day doing nothing. Well exept sleeping, sailing cooking meals and eat. Today is such a day. Well sometimes we have to tack but otherwise we are just spending time.

The engine was on until 8 PM when we were able to pick up some wind, hoist the sails and enjoy the silence. It is amazing how quite it became when the engine was turned off.

We are still very close to the centre of the high pressure and the atmospheric pressure went up to new all time high with 1035. Today rose with a cloudy sky but the sun soon took over. The winds has been light, between 11 and 17 knots from north east to east meaning we have to tack. Each tack is 2-5 hours long depending on current and drifting. The wind is going to change to a northerly and then we have a nice broad reach towards the Algarve coast.
